Charles-René Tandé: “The longer the confinement, the more difficult the restart will be”

Accountants are on the front line to support SMEs in the face of the coronavirus crisis. The President of the Order, Charles-René Tandé, explains the difficulties they face in obtaining state aid. Many companies are still waiting to know if they will be able to obtain financing guaranteed by the State from their bank.

Do businesses have easy access to emergency aid put in place by the State?

We can distinguish two categories of companies. Those who are eligible for the aid of 1,500 euros, the criteria of which are nevertheless restrictive. The turnover must be less than 1 million euros and the remuneration (including charges) must not exceed 60,000 euros. Finally, few companies can benefit from it.
