Antony Vallée, the former head of convertibles at JP Morgan AM, has just launched his first fund at Alken AM. Recruited in the spring with three other people to develop a bond range, he first devoted himself “to the creation of the proprietary research platform”, which should allow “the two management teams to take advantage of the synergies between the different approaches. equity and bond. This first fund will be invested in the global convertible bond market. A second product, yield this time, should follow.


Aged 47, Antony Vallée has a master’s degree in financial engineering from HEC Montréal and a DEA in economics from the University of Lyon. He started his career in 1998 at CCF Capital Management. In 2002, he became head of convertible arbitrage at Systeia Capital. From 2006 to 2018 he worked for JPMorgan AM in London.


Its ambition is to reach between 1 and 1.5 billion euros of outstandings on the “convertible” fund in one year. With around € 5 billion in assets under management at the end of October, Alken AM had previously specialized in European equities.
